My name is Javier and I am a senior piercer, educator and body suspension facilitator from Uruguay.
At the age of 8 I had my first contact with the world of body art by getting my first piercing. From that moment on, I began to get involved with all forms of body art.
I began my career as a body piercer at the first and only professional body piercing studio in Uruguay; Luces y Sombras, where I worked for ten years. Together with Emi Lacoste, owner of the shop, we brought body piercing to the highest standards in the industry.
After several years of researching body suspension, I had the great honor of suspending for the first time myself in 2014 with La Negra in Argentina. After that moment I continued researching and learning how to facilitate suspensions. In 2023 I started leading the suspension team for the TRAUMA and DRAUMA parties in Columbus Ohio.
I have also been a speaker at international conferences and regularly lead workshops on piercing and body suspension. Throughout my career, I have traveled to different countries, visiting some of the most respected studios in the industry and exchanging knowledge with internationally recognized professionals. These experiences, along with attending multiple conferences and workshops around the world, continuously enrich my practice and strengthen my commitment to safe, ethical, and inclusive body art.
My priority is to create a safe and welcoming environment where everyone can express themselves freely through body piercing. I work under the highest standards of the industry, ensuring excellence in biosecurity, hygiene, biocompatible jewelry, and aesthetic quality.
My approach to piercing is grounded in precision and care. Over the years, I have refined a technique that prioritizes comfort, safety, and smooth healing. Every procedure is performed with mindfulness and respect for the individuality of each person and their body.
I believe that each piercing is more than just a procedure. It is a form of self-expression and, for many, a personal or transformative ritual. I accompany my clients throughout the healing process, providing care, information, and support so that each person feels confident and respected in their journey.
I am proud to be the first Uruguayan member of the APP (Association of Professional Piercers), and the first from my country to attend both the APP Conference in Las Vegas and APP Camp. I am also part of other leading piercing organizations that uphold these high standards and promote education, inclusion, and ethical practice within our community.
